NFF gets N25m from LMC

NFF President, Aminu Maigari
The League Management Company on Monday presented a cheque for N25m to the Nigeria Football Federation.
The sum represents five per cent of the monies the LMC has raised in sponsorship fees since managing the Nigerian league.
NFF president Aminu Maigari said at the presentation that his body was proud of the work and other activities of the LMC, promising to continue to give the league body the support it would need in making the league better.
Maigari affirmed the NFF’s approval for the way and manner the LMC had carried out the business of sanitising Nigeria’s elite division.
“The NFF approves of all that the LMC is doing and we are proud of the steps that you are taking to turn the Premier League around for the better. We also note that you have been making efforts, as required, to carry along the club owners in your activities,” Maigari said.
“The NFF is equally proud of your moves to get the spectators back to the stadia so that our elite league can again be what it used to be in decades gone by.”
LMC chairman, Nduka Irabor, who presented a 140-page Corporate Identity And Brand Standards Manual to the NFF, reiterated that the LMC was managing the league in trust for the club owners.
Irabor said, “Our determination to take the league to an enviable height remains unshaken. We are working very hard to lay a solid foundation on which subsequent administrations can build to make the Nigerian league one of the very best in the world.”
