A' Ibom Dep Gov sues for peace Jan 2nd 2013, 01:10 Deputy Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Mrs. Valerie Ebe, has urged women in the state to pray for peace and the success of Governor Godswill Akpabio-led government. A statement by her Press Secretary, Ikemesit Smith, on Tuesday indicated that Ebe said this during the presentation of Christmas gifts to women groups in the state in Uyo on Monday. "This government can only succeed with prayers," Ebe said. She stated the administration was not only gender-friendly,  it sees the interest of women as important. The state chairperson of the National Council of Women Societies, Obonganwan Etuk, in her response, appreciated the recognition Ebe had given to women. The state Coordinator of Akwa Ibom Women League, Mrs. Ekemini Charles, also thanked Ebe for her leadership and praised her legacies in the league.
