An organisation called Flasby Travels
& Travels has concluded plans to hold Odun Oranmiyan, a festival
aimed at celebrating the legacies of a Yoruba legend, Oranmiyan and
boost tourism in the ancient town.
In a statement signed by one of the
festival’s promoters, Bukola Awoyemi, Flasby says it will bring Ife
indigenes and other Yorubas at home and abroad together.
“The festival will be devoid of
political affiliations or leanings such that every Yorubaman would be
eager to attend yearly and attract corporate organisations that may use
the opportunity to showcase their brands as well as compete for
sponsorship,” Awoyemi states
