Ondo State Governor, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko, on Wednesday urged workers in the state to be more dedicated to service delivery in the new year.
The governor said blessings, more than ever before, would be their portion in the year if they performed their jobs as expected.
Mimiko, according to a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Eni Akinsola, stated this during a prayer session held on the premises of the Governor's office in Akure.
The occasion had in attendance the Deputy Governor, Alhaji Alli Olanusi, members of the state executive council, top government officials and the state civil servants.
Mimiko commended the state workforce for its cooperation and support for all the programmes executed in the first four years of his administration.
Mimiko offered prayers for the entire workforce and appreciated God for the peaceful conduct of the free and fair October 2012 governorship election in the state, against all odds.
The Pastor-in-charge, Redeemed Christian Church of God, Ondo Province 1, Rev. Richard Adeboye, in his sermon titled "Divine Connection," proclaimed peace for the state and called on the people of the state to be strong, determined and courageous.
